James Supports Nick Clegg

James Keeley is supporting Nick Clegg in the leadership race for the Liberal Democrats.

"We are very fortunate in having two superb candidates in Chris Huhne and Nick Clegg for the future leadership of the party however, I have decided to declare my support for Nick."

"Nick is a man of vision. He has the energy, the drive and the determination to shake the foundations of British politics. Nick genuinely believes in freedom, equality and justice. However, the thing I am most impressed about is his passion to help the weakest, the poorest and the most vulnerable in society. I grew up in poverty and know what is like to have little opportunity, no voice and to be made to feel worthless. So I am delighted that in Nick Clegg the most vulnerable in society have a real champion for their cause. Nick is a superb communicator and as he has shown in his role as Home Office Spokesman he is not afraid to take a courageous stand on justice."
