James Keeley Supports SELRAP

12.00.00am GMT Mon 3rd Dec 2007

On Friday 30th November, James Keeley - Liberal Democrat PPC for Skipton and Ripon - addressed a meeting of the Skipton East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership (SELRAP).

Speaking to a packed hall, James emphasised how a rail connection between Skipton and Colne would help to bring prosperity to the communities along the line and help raise residents out of poverty in wards that are amongst the poorest in the country. It would bring more visitors into Skipton and it would do so in an environmentally friendly way.

" I came into politics to bring people together this railway will do that in many ways. This railway will happen. I will do all I can to shout loud and proud about SELRAP"
